Polymer 80 Pistol Frames & The 76% Bridge Frame
The landscape of Polymer 80 Pistol Frames has evolved to meet modern compliance standards with the introduction of the 76% “Bridge Frame.” Developed specifically to navigate the changing regulatory environment, the 76% frame distinguishes itself from legacy 80% Polymer80 frames by featuring significantly more material in critical areas. To ensure federal compliance, these frames are manufactured with a solid trigger housing pocket and filled rear rail cavities, requiring the builder to perform additional fabrication steps.
While the 76% Bridge Frame demands more precision and effort to complete than previous generations, it remains the standard for maintaining the right to build at home. Despite the added machining requirements, these frames retain the superior ergonomics, aggressive grip texture, and high-strength reinforced polymer construction that builders rely on. Once fabrication is finished, the frame offers seamless compatibility with standard Gen 3 Glock® 19 and Glock® 17 components, resulting in a reliable, high-performance custom firearm.

The Supreme Court’s recent ruling allows the ATF to regulate certain kits under its 2022 frame or receiver rule. Always check your state laws — some states have additional restrictions on 80% Glock-style pistols and build kits.
